i looked into it but 10 years ago the surgery was very dangerous. if i spoke to women who were like me who did the op and had a major improvement then i dunno.. its possible i would change my mind but im happy as i am, i don't believe in dangerous surgery when its not necessary

i don't consider my body embarrassing :) but it was the only avenue i had as the NHS hadn't been much help over the last 10 years since finding out. They dont pay you to go on the programme but give you help that i myself could not afford

No i was messed around for years. promised specialists that never materialised. They couldn't even find both of my cervixes for a smear test as they are totally unprepared on the whole for ladies with this difference. The Doc on Embarrassing bods was so sympathetic to this he gave me a free smear test while i was there. They really were my last resort!

I take medication a form of contraceptive pill that means i only have about 3 menstration cycles per year. When i do have a period I have to figure which half of my womb is ovulating if a want to use tampons. As for boyfriends when i was younger i had some immature reactions but 95% of all reactions are absolutely fine. Most are just curious really

I will try and answer everything that i see as a respectful question. So inanswer to yours, both Vaginas are completely functional.. The only questions i wont be answering is anything to do with Porn offers. This i know will upset a lot of people but i have no opinion on the matter. No disrespect to anyone who works in the business but it's not something i can talk about having zero experience in the industry

My wife has this condition as well. I don't mind answering some questions about it... To add some context, we have 1 child and have another on the way. There are some added challenges to being pregnant with this condition.

I can't remember which side the previous baby was on.... see, the uterus, cervix and vaginal canal are all the same side... so if you are pregnant in the left uterus, the left cervix and vagina will be the birth canal... However, people with uterus didelphys have a high rate of C-section.. and that's how my first child was delivered... and it was an emergency procedure.

First time it took us 6 months using ovulation induction therapy drugs. This time, it was around the same.
No problem... we've never met anyone else that has this condition, although her specialist told her he has several patients with it that he's helped conceive.

No, we are in Canada. You should have no problem becoming a mother one day. You'll just have to patient with the process... which fortunately, is a lot of fun. :) Make sure you are seeing a gyno who understands and knows about your condition. If you ever want to talk to someone about it, I'm sure my wife wouldn't mind talking. I can too.

You have to wonder whether her second set of ovaries (assuming she had one) would even be popping out eggs if she were pregnant in her other uterus, and whether her non pregnant uterus would be accepting eggs if she were. I would think having one pregnant uterus would essentially act as hormonal birth control.
