A lot of bloggers hold off on monetization because of an understandable lack of trust in some networks. We’ve all read, with a good dose of sarcasm, the direct marketing e-mails from advertising agencies, about private advertisement or CPM based advertisements. With time, you’ll learn to differentiate between mass e-mails and schemes that might actually fit your business model and goals.
With a sheer amount of blogs out there (WordPress users alone are producing approximately 48.7 million new posts and 63.4 million new comments every month), there are already a nice number of globally tried & tested methods for blog monetization. That being said, it can often pay off to try a unique and less common method.

Native ads are those little ads you see at the bottom of sites and blogs that say “you may like” or “recommended for you”. E-mail lists also allow a publisher to track and analyze return on investment through online statistics. Offering something in exchange for e-mail list sign-up usually produces even better results.
Blog Sponsors
Before a big-name advertiser will be interested in your content, you’ll have to be able to provide proof that your content is unique and engaging and that you have a serious following: as evidenced by your web pages’ statistics. Once you’ve reached that point, advertising space offered to private advertisers is a stable and lucrative form of monetization.
