(VEVO)When Miley Cyrus announced that veteran fashion photographer Terry Richardson would direct her video for "Wrecking Ball," the second single off her upcoming album Bangerz, most people assumed nudity would be involved. And they were correct!
While Cyrus' new video is generally safe for work — the most crucial of her private parts are concealed — it's still plenty provocative, presenting Miley in a particularly vulnerable light with close-up after close-up of her tear-strewn face interspersed with shots of her licking demolition tools and writhing around on the floor in her panties.
It's an odd collection of images, really. Miley looks particularly stunning in scenes in which she sings directly to the camera, showing far more emotion than she did in the entirety of The Last Song, but it's hard to say why she felt the need to get busy with a sledgehammer.
